About Me

I'm Alec Caldwell, a web designer from Minooka, Illinois, and a Marketing student at Lewis University. I started Frontstage because I noticed how many small businesses around Minooka, Channahon, Joliet, Shorewood, and the surrounding towns either have outdated websites, confusing layouts, or no strong online presence at all. A business can be great in person, but if the website feels old, hard to use, or untrustworthy, customers may never get far enough to see what makes that business worth choosing.

My goal with Frontstage is to help local businesses make a better first impression online. I build clean, mobile-friendly websites that are easy for customers to navigate and simple for business owners to understand. Whether someone is checking your hours, looking for your services, viewing your work, or deciding whether to contact you, your website should make that process feel smooth and professional.

Because I study marketing, I do not look at websites as just something that should "look nice." A good website should have a purpose. It should guide visitors, answer their questions, build trust, and help turn interest into real calls, messages, bookings, or visits. I focus on creating websites that feel polished but still personal, especially for small businesses that want to stand out without sounding like a big corporate brand.

Frontstage is built around a simple idea: local businesses deserve websites that match the quality of the work they already do. I want to help business owners feel confident sending people to their site, knowing it represents them well and gives customers a clear reason to take the next step.
